The first round of the Enduro World Series has finished with several strong results for the Irish riders. Belgium rider Maes Martin finished at the head of the pack in a close - and super dusty - opening round.
Top of the board amongst the Irish riders was Cube Action Team rider and Irish MTB legend, Greg Callaghan. A sore crash on Stage 4 left Greg dropping from a potential top 10 finish to still a very respectable 16th.
Local rider Kelan Grant, one of the new additions to Chain Reaction Cycle's Mavic Team, was next on the listing, finishing in 50th - just ahead of Killian Callaghan.
Incidentally you can see both men riding the mountain bike trails in NI here!
Dan Wolfe, the newest card in the Irish EWS lineout also finished well despite several difficult stages.
Round 2 takes place in Shimano, Tasmania this weekend.
