MTBNI Trail Centre Closures - At a Glance

In light of the current COVID-19 situation and Government Guidelines the following Trail Centre closes are in place:

Mid Ulster District Council

Both Davagh Forest and Blessingbourne Estate are temporarily closed until further notice

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council

Both Castlewellan and Rostrevor MTB Trails are temporarily closed until further notice

Belfast City Council

The trails at Barnett Demesne remain open at present to allow people take their daily exercise in their local park.

Please ensure you follow all medical advice regarding social distancing.

All car parks are closed at Belfast City Council parks and playing fields. This is to discourage people from making non-essential journeys. Please don’t park outside park gates or in surrounding streets.

Other

The following trail centres and facility listed on MountainBikeNI are temporarily closed until further notice:

• Castle Ward
• Stramore Park (Gilford Community Centre)
• Tollymore Skills Course (Tollymore National Outdoor Centre)

Events

Mountain bikers should contact event orgnanisers directly regarding the current position of any events listed on the website.
